It is official!!

Ireland has qualified to go straight through to the final phase of the Seniors World Padel Championships 2024 in La Nucia, Spain. This is another historic moment for Padel in Ireland as we join 30 countries from around the world to compete against the best!!

We are looking for the best team, male and female, in the following categories;

+35; +40; +45; +50; +55

We are sending a minimum of two and a maximum of 4 players in each age category to compete in the team competition.  The Senior World Championships in pairs is also held in the same categories as above.

Selection will be as per the Head Coach of the National Team, the Selection Committee and technical team, player experience, past performance and technical ability. You must also hold a valid Padel Federation of Ireland competition license for 2024 and be a citizen of Ireland.

22nd Feb – Official registration of Interest open. Please email nationalteam@padelfederation.ie

8th March – Closing date registration of interest  Date now extended to March 8th @10 am

1st -8th March – Trials in all clubs (clubs to nominate players to participate in official trials) Details available from participating clubs

9- 10th March– Official Trials; New players (mandatory) and previous players (optional not mandatory) Federation Player license required

12th March – Pre-selection list announced

22nd – 24th   MarchIrish Padel Tour (IPT) tournament – participation in the IPT for all pre-selected players of the World Padel Championships

26th – March – Official list released of Selected players + substitutes for the Finals in the World Padel Championships

29th – 31st March – Voluntary training

5th/6th/7th April – Official mandatory National Team training

12th/13th April –  National Team training

14th April– Travel to World Padel Championships, La Nucia, Spain
