Ranking Points

Ranking points for Irish padel.

Ranking points connect Irish Padel Tour event results with PFI ranking categories. The points shown here follow the published IPT framework and are applied after event classification, category checks, and result validation.

The published IPT points framework.

Irish Padel Tour publishes three main event bands: P1, Majors, and the Master Final. Each band awards a different number of points depending on the stage a player or pair reaches.

Event band

The event band determines the points scale: P1, Major, or Master Final.

Stage reached

The stage reached in the draw determines the points awarded within that event band.

PFI validation

Ranking updates are applied after results and categories have been checked for the public ranking tables.

Ranking updates

How ranking points are applied.

Ranking points are applied from confirmed competition results. The published points table is the reference point, but rankings are only updated once the event details and player records are clear.

Event level

The P1, Major, or Master Final band sets the points scale.

Stage reached

The round reached in the official draw determines the points awarded.

Ranking category

Points are applied to the category used in the official event results.

Confirmed results

Updates are published after PFI has the information needed to match results to player records.

Competition reference

What players and organisers need to know.

  • Ranking points are tied to eligible ranked events and published ranking categories.
  • The points scale depends on whether the event is treated as P1, Major, or Master Final.
  • Results need clear player names, categories, draw stages, and event details before ranking updates are made.
  • Players should use consistent licence and profile details across events so ranking records remain accurate.
  • Junior and privacy-sensitive competition data requires extra care before any public ranking display.
